So proud of all the fantastic people and Labour Women and supporters who campaigned tirelessly to #repealthe8th - all the hard work was worth it yesterday with such a landslide result. Thank you all!
Dank! Het is gestopt, blijkbaar heeft één van jullie acties succes gehad! https://twitter.com/Politie_Rdam/status/1000649389768101889 …
Thank you to all my comrades and friends across the world for all your support throughout the campaign.. especially those from @YESocialists @RainbowRose_PES and @PES_Women who came and knocked on doors with us last weekend

Props to the Irish @labour party, who have fought to #repealedThe8th since the very beginning. Consistency is credibility. @BrendanHowlin
Phenomenal news innit. "I didn't want my babies, until I wanted babies." And I'm so happy now for all the other women who'll have that right. #RepealedThe8th
In 1983 eleven TDs (only) voted against the 8th Amendment in the Dail. Eight were Labour TDs. One - Eileen Desmond - was a woman. They were vilified, abused, threatened. But they stood up for women then and against the danger to women posed by the 8th. Finally vindicated tonight.
Looks like a landslide victory for #Repealthe8h in Ireland. It cannot be right that Northern Ireland will be the only place in Ireland and the UK where abortion and same sex marriage are illegal. Time for Parliament to legislate for human rights

Time for a break and a family picture of our parties' representatives at the PES Sec Gens Meeting. We are fighting for the left turn Europe needs.pic.twitter.com/KyRwq7VC0W
We urge all Irish voters to support women and vote “yes” in today’s referendum.
